Funny how God works. Within a day or two of going on this blog for the first time in a year, I get the following note.
Greetings, I was in Honduras this past month and spent several hours with Pastor Jose in Las Conchas. He sends his greetings and his appreciation for your support of his ministry and church. He says he hopes you can come visit him soon.
The church at Los Conches is doing well. They have 45 adults and 30 kids. The church is growing and many families and people have been healed. They are outgrowing the church and are looking to take out some walls inside the building. They have prayer service on Wednesday evening, Women’s meetings on Thursday night and Men’s meeting on Friday. They have a youth service on Saturday and then have Sunday school on Sunday morning and Church Sunday night. They are focusing on the child this year along with the Ministry’s Year of the Child emphasis. They sent 12 leaders to the Children’s Ministry Conference. Please pray for them as they continue to reach out to the community. In particular pray for the women who’s husbands don’t come to church that they will be able to win them to the Lord. Also pray for the economy of the area. The fishing has been very bad for awhile and it is creating hardships on the local fishing industry.
